Mapping the unknown city II
For how long can a place remain unknown?
The unknown in this city is being vanished very slowly by my walker feet.
Slowly, the shape of the place is entering in my heart, in my mind, in my body.
But the unknown is endless,
I hope…
or is it not?
Do I have more time to keep the awe alive?
Let me stay lost for a bit longer.
These subjective maps are abstract images of my perception of the material layer of Utrecht.
They capture the evanescent moment of discovery, when things are still new, not clear, ambiguous, and the possibility of getting lost is high.
These pieces were made after the restrictions to mobility, because of the C-19 pandemic, were eased, so I could return to walk.
